This privacy policy applies to the xera app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by William Hunt (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
The Application collects information that you provide and information generated when you use it. This information may include:
The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.
The Service Provider uses your email address to provide passwordless sign-in links and necessary account and security communications, including billing, legal, and account-status notices. These messages are required to operate and protect your account and cannot be disabled while your account remains active.
If you separately choose to receive Product news & offers in the Application's Settings, the Service Provider may also use your email address to send occasional information about Xera features and offers. This optional preference is off by default and is not required to create or use an account.
The Application uses PostHog to understand product usage, evaluate features, and identify technical issues. PostHog may receive screen views, selected interaction events, an account or user identifier, email address, and device or operating-system information. These analytics are used to improve and operate the Application and are not used for third-party advertising.
The Application stores account and workout data on the Service Provider's backend and uses Amazon Web Services for optional profile-photo storage and email delivery. These providers process information on the Service Provider's behalf and may have their own privacy policies.
Where opt-in consent is required, Xera only uses browser advertising measurement on the Xera website after you select Allow. Elsewhere, optional advertising measurement may run by default and can be disabled through Advertising choices in the website footer or through a browser Global Privacy Control signal. Xera may use browser and server-side advertising conversion tools, including Reddit Pixel and Reddit Conversions API, to measure which campaigns lead to a waitlist signup. Xera may send a random conversion identifier, campaign and click information, the signup page, IP address, browser user agent, and a one-way hashed form of your normalized email address. The browser and server events share the same conversion identifier so the advertising platform can count one signup rather than two. These advertising events are not sent when advertising measurement is disabled.
Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the Application:
The Application uses YouTube API Services to find publicly available exercise demonstration videos and related channel information. The Application may access, collect, store, and display limited YouTube API data such as video IDs, channel IDs, channel names, channel usernames, channel avatar URLs, video titles, video descriptions, published dates, durations, embeddable status, and view counts. This information is used to select and show relevant exercise guide videos in the Application.
The Application does not use YouTube API Services to upload videos, post comments, rate videos, subscribe to channels, manage playlists, or otherwise take actions on a user's YouTube account. The Application does not request or store YouTube login credentials.
When you view a YouTube video embedded in the Application, YouTube and Google may collect information from your device or browser, including through cookies or similar technologies, under the Google Privacy Policy. YouTube videos are provided by YouTube and their respective creators, and Xera is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or those creators.
The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
You can turn optional Product news & offers emails on or off at any time in the Application under Settings, Email. Promotional emails, if introduced, will also include an unsubscribe method. Changing this preference does not affect necessary account and security emails or the lawfulness of processing performed before the change.
You can change advertising measurement permission through Advertising choices in the marketing website footer. Xera also honors the browser's Global Privacy Control signal by disabling optional browser advertising measurement.
Uninstalling the Application stops new collection from that installation, but it does not delete your account or change your email preference. You can request account deletion in Settings as described below.
The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. You can permanently delete your account and associated data in the Application under Settings, Account, Delete Account. Deletion includes value-proposition waitlists and related conversion records connected to the same email address. Deletion is completed directly in the Application and cannot be undone. If you joined a waitlist without creating an account, contact the Service Provider to request deletion.
YouTube API data stored by the Application is retained only for as long as needed to provide exercise guide video features. Stored YouTube API data is refreshed, replaced, or deleted as needed to keep it consistent with current YouTube API Services data and applicable YouTube API Services policies.
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case the Service Provider discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider (me@benhunt.io) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any material changes as required by applicable law and will update the effective date on this page. Continued use of the Application does not opt you into optional promotional email.
This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-07-31
Using the Application or agreeing to its Terms does not provide consent for optional promotional email. Xera only enables Product news & offers after you deliberately turn that preference on, and you may turn it off just as easily in Settings. Advertising measurement on the Xera website is also optional and can be declined without affecting waitlist signup.
If you have any questions regarding privacy while using the Application, or have questions about the practices, please contact the Service Provider via email at me@benhunt.io.
